DebiCheck is a new type of debit order that requires you to confirm your Vodacom monthly debit order with you bank, when entering into a contract with Vodacom, thereby giving Vodacom permission to collect on the monthly premium.

No. DebiCheck debit orders can only be used if you the customer have authorized the DebiCheck mandate. If you do not approve the mandate or do not respond to the mandate EFT debit orders or RMS debit orders will be used.

DebiCheck reduces the risk of incorrect or fraudulent debit orders going off your bank account.

An RMS mandate is a DebiCheck mandate that has not been approved. In this case the debit order can be disputed.

A mandate threshold amount is the maximum amount that Vodacom can debit your account for via the DebiCheck debit order method. This amount will include products and service including, Value added services, gsm and converged products as well as any additional usage used during the course of the month.

If this threshold is exceeded, you will receive a DebiCheck amendment mandate with a new limit. This new threshold amount needs to be accepted by the you, as the bill exceeds the current threshold amount.

If the threshold amount exceeds the bill amount, the collection method used to collect on that bill for that month will be normal EFT debit order method.

Normal EFT debit orders do not have to be approved, can be disputed and does not cater for early collection or tracking.

The DebiCheck debit order can be cancelled at the your bank and the bank will send notification of the mandate cancellation to Vodacom.

DebiCheck mandates can be suspended at the your bank for a certain period of time, and unsuspended when the DebiCheck mandates needs to resume. The mandate can only be suspended by you or by your bank.

Suspending the DebiCheck mandate does not cancel a contract that is still within term nor does it mean that if an amount is due on the account, Vodacom will not collect on outstanding monies.
