2024 Summer - Post-Paid VodaBucks Promotion

  1. Vodacom (Pty) Ltd (“Vodacom”) is running the Vodacom “Post-Paid In-store VodaBucks” Promotion (the “Promotion”). During this period, customers who upgrade or sign up for a new Vodacom contract with one of the participating smartphones will get VodaBucks allocation to their Vodapay App. This promotion runs from the 7th November 2024 – 5th February 2025. The amount of VodaBucks received will vary based on the specific device model chosen.

  1. VodaBucks Allocation:

3.1         The amount of VodaBucks allocated will vary based on the specific device model purchased.

3.2         The VodaBucks will be allocated between 24-72 hours after successful activation of a contract. Any support a customer requires with VodaBucks allocation, call 082135 and request for rewards call centre

  1. The VodaBucks allocated must be utilized during the promotional period, any VodaBucks not redeemed will expire on 15 March 2025.
  2. Promotion Eligibility:

5.1 This promotion is available to both new and upgrade contracts as outlined above.

General:

  • Vodacom reserves the right to suspend this promotion in the event of suspected abuse or fraudulent usage, outside of what is considered reasonable for private, non-commercial use.
  • Vodacom reserves the right to suspend, cancel or convert this Promotion on reasonable notice. 
  • Vodacom reserves the right to change and/or expand on these terms and conditions and will provide reasonable notice of any material changes prior to such change as and when the circumstances permit.
  • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the participant or the promoter in terms of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (CPA).
  • Vodacom’s decision on any aspect of the Promotion including the allocation of a Coupon will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • In the event of a dispute regarding any aspect of the Promotion and/or the terms and conditions, Vodacom’s decision will be final, and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Vodacom may refuse to issue the Coupon if these terms and conditions have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities or fraudulent practices.
  • Vodacom and/or any other person or party associated with the Promotion, their associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors and any of its personnel involved in the Promotion, shall not be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered (including but not limited to direct or indirect or consequential loss), death or personal injury suffered or sustained arising from either participation in the Promotion or from claiming a Coupon.
  • Vodacom, its directors, employees, agents and distributors, are not responsible for any misrepresentation (whether written or verbal) in respect of any Coupon nor in respect of any warranties, guarantees or undertakings given by any person other than Vodacom itself.
  • If Vodacom is required by law to alter or cancel any aspect of the Promotion or to terminate it as a result of changes in legislation, or for any reason whatsoever, it will have the right to terminate the Promotion being offered, with immediate effect and without notice. In such event all entrants hereby waive any rights which they may have against Vodacom and its associated companies, agents, contractors and/or sponsors.
  • All information relating to the Promotion which is published on any marketing material will form part of these terms and conditions. In the event of any conflict between such marketing material and these terms and conditions, these terms and conditions shall prevail.
  • The Promotion is also subject to, and must be read in conjunction with, Vodacom’s existing terms and conditions applicable to its website and mobile site respectively:

•    To opt-in, customers are required to:

o    Download the VodaPay app from Google Play Store or the Apple App store.

o    VodaPay is currently not available on Huawei App Gallery and will be available soon.

o    VodaPay is compatible with most smartphones - Android version 4.4 and above, as well as Apple version 9.0 and above.

o    Once downloaded, enter the mobile number that is linked to the postpaid contract taken out, and verify it with the OTP that will be sent to that number.

o    Add your name and surname as per your identity document.

o    Add your email address to your profile.

o    Create a 5-digit login PIN.

o    Accept the T&C's.

o    Connect your biometrics (facial/fingerprint security) if you wish, and you’re ready to use the VodaPay app.

o    Select the Vodabucks menu and follow the opt-in prompts.

o    Vodabucks will be allocated once-off within 7 working days of contract activation.

o    Vodabucks received on a post-paid contract will be auto-banked therefore the customer does not need to bank their Vodabucks.

o    Vodabucks earned on taking out the postpaid contract will be valid for 90 days from date of allocation.

How can I use my VodaBucks to make purchases in the VodaStore?

•    In the VodaStore, payment methods include:

o    Airtime (on GSM purchases only
o    VodaBucks only; and/or
o    Combination of VodaBucks and card payments

•    Partial payments are allowed within the VodaStore but will be governed in line with the VodaBucks Rewards Programme rules (i.e. payment options of products and services within the VodaStore remain at the discretion of Vodacom, with the only universal payment option being VodaBucks).

•    VodaBucks combination with cash/credit or cheque payment will always be presented.

Why does my unbanked Vodabucks account reset on Saturday?

•    The Vodabucks rewards cycle runs from Saturday to Friday.

•    Every Saturday, your unbanked Bucks resets to zero and you’ll wake up with a clean slate ready to start earning, banking and spending more Vodabucks in the new weekly cycle.

•    Your banked Vodabucks are stored in your Vodacom wallet, ready for you to spend.

Will I get reminders to bank my Vodabucks before they expire?

•    Don’t worry, we’ll remind you every Wednesday and Friday morning to bank your bucks so you never miss out on your well-deserved rewards.

•    Keep an eye out on your phone, on the Vodabucks homepage, as we’ll send you push notifications and / or SMS reminders.

 


How often can I bank my Vodabucks?

•    You can bank your bucks as often as you like during the week, but make sure you’ve banked what you’ve earned in the Saturday to Friday cycle before the Friday midnight cut-off.

•    After this, any unbanked Bucks expired.

My child / partner uses another mobile number which is under my name, will the other mobile number qualify for the benefit?

•    Benefits are allocated per the mobile number and the contract price plan which the number belongs to.

•    Benefits can only be accessed and redeemed by the persons above the age of 18 years.
